Some days my writing muse, a small unnamed entity, stays in its box, fingers in ears, eyes closed, fiercely mouthing the opposite of sweet nothings at me; it doesn't want to come out to play.
Today is one of those days.
So instead of some waffle, here's an image of a swan's feather, floating serenely in a sunbeam.

Looks like it's been dipped in gold and shaken - all that shimmery dazzle around it. Aren't feathers maginificent things?
Had to laugh at the image of your muse sitting there, mouthing unpleasantries. Mine simply stalks off without a word and no hint at when it will return. Better things to do, evidently...
Beautiful feather, no swans here but I do have two blue jay feathers and mallard feathers by the score. I liked the picture, made me feel instantly weightless and calm.
Did you take this photo?
It's abosultely gorgeous. I love the shades of silver.
This is a stunning photograph. Did you take it? And I know what you mean about the writing muse taking a "breather." Boy, do I!
Thank you for the comment that you left on my blog back in June by the way. Much appreciated...
The right time at the right place.
It's beautifull, do you ever frame some of your photo's, it must be hard to choose which, they are all gorgeous since I started to visit.
Brain freeze...mmmm...get it too!
At least I know mine's still around, Pauline, just doesn't want to come out to play. A recent teacher I had told me that I should be able to write something everyday - she was obviously not on the same planet as I am.
Great feeling, Bluesmama, wish I had it.
Thanks, Lee, I must try that (first find a microscope)
I certainly did, Josephine. Every bit of vanity on this blog is my own work.
I agree about the colours, the light was catching it just right.
I'll be over later, Kilroy_60.
Thanks, Stephoto, much appreciated
As it happens, Hannelie, I've just been framing some monochrome flower pictures I took for a bedroom we've just decorated. Otherwise, rarely, haven't really got the wall space as we collect modern art and Victorian watercolours (in a small way - and cheaply!!)
