Now agglomerating, that's a fine word. Looks awkward, with those heavy beginning, but it's such a treat to say. Do you have favourite words? Will you tell me what they are and why? Maybe we could even illustrate them. I'd probably start with multiplicity, that's one of my most favourite ones.
But anyway, the hinge. Looks like a signpost from this angle. I'm so glad it tripped me up what seems like so long and yet not so long ago. And I'm so happy to find other people who revisit things. Like you can see it all in one look, how arrogant is that? This is exactly what I mean when I say I feel like I'm taking portraits of things and places rather than pictures. If the hinge has a spirit, and who am I to say whether it does or doesn't, I think this is one picture it would be pleased with. Thank you again for the lovely hinge. I'd never have gotten to meet it if it hadn't been for you.
Agglomerate. Have to look that up. Fits in a place with conglomerate and aggregate in my head but I'm not completely sure of its meaning. So thanks again for the word, as well as the hinge. I believe it's going to be a lovely day.
Hi Blues Mama. I had to go and check agglomerate just to see that I hadn't made it up. It seems to fit what was in my mind fairly well. Now multiplicity - that's a cracker with just so many uses.
I really like the idea of taking words and illustrating them - it'll be a new theme. Some words to make a start on: fecundity, moribund, balderdash. Not sure I have favourites - I'll ponder on it and report back.
It was just by chance that I revisited Wells - it's not that close (in English terms - probably be just down the road in Texas or Saskatchewan). Both Peter and I did some follow-up images; the light was gorgeous and our partners were happily browsing (probably for shoes!). Glad you like it - and if I've made a hinge happy, my life is complete. Hope it's been a lovely day.
